Spook Trails in plain sight: Niels Harrit via Google

Dr Niels Harrit speaks excellent English as several interviews available via YouTube reveal.

Nevertheless, I think the interview on the left below, shown on Danish TV2NEWS in April 2009, is uniquely powerful – even though most of us may need the subtitles. The video on the right is more recent and in English. In conjunction, they tell the story of Harrit’s remarkable recent contributions to the citizen-initiated study of 9-11, made necessary because of the conspicuous failure of the US authorities to invesigate these atrocities seriously and bring the real criminals to justice.

Leading scientists around the world are walking away from the 9-11 lie in disgust. This is serious. Like it or not, mainstream media cannot ignore the growth of informed opposition to the official 9-11 story – not without further loss of their own credibility.

Dr Harrit is a superb scientist and he’s also an excellent communicator. He was the lead author of the ground-breaking peer-reviewed academic paper Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe. It’s the paper that, as Harrit describes it, puts the ‘last nail’ in the coffin of the official/ government account of the events of September 11th 2001.

A Google search for “Niels Harrit” conducted yesterday (I took a screen-capture and saved it for future reference) yielded plenty of results: “about 45,000″ according to Google. But most people, of course, never view more than the top page or two of search results. Many just select from the listings at the top of the first search page. Those first few listings at the top have undue influence on public opinion.

Google listings are supposedly not ‘controlled’ by any kind of political decision-making process. Google says it abides by a “do no evil” commandment. If that’s true, there appears to be a significant anomaly in the case of searches for “Niels Harrit” which Google’s management might like to look into and rectify ASAP.

Let the data speak for itself. Look at the top web entries.

The first links are to the videos shown above.

After that, the first text references are from the faux-sceptic website randi.org (named after the famous magician James Randi, it has a forum called the ‘James Randi Educational Foundation Forum’). The second text reference is to a page on a blog thatgoes by the most peculiar name ‘Ron Mossad’!

These two specific page links are:

Nested beneath the first link – “The sad case of…” – are five other one-line links to other related pages on the JREF forum. Whether this was Google’s choice – or the result of a paid advertisement – I do not know. I can spot nothing that identifies the entry as a paid ad.

Below those websites are other links from prominent 9-11 sceptic websites. Genuine sceptics, that is. These sites are highly trafficked; there are also a lot of other sceptic websites (such as my own) that aren’t. Collectively, these many sites make up page after page of references that show up on a web search for “Niels Harrit”. You may also come across references to other people called Niels Harrit and to pages referring to Dr Harrit’s copious scientific work prior to his involvement in the 9-11 debate.

Yet the first two text links on the Google search for “Niels Harrit”are pages extremely hostile to Dr Harrit. On occasion they are highly insulting. The term ‘character assassination’ comes to mind.

How did those two webpages get highest rankings on this websearch? Clearly they contain some relevant text (frequent repetition of the term “Niels Harrit”). The answer may also have something to do with the number of links to each page. Google doesn’t say exactly how its websearch algorithms work – that’s its closely-guarded proprietory ‘secret’, rather like the recipe for Cola Cola. But it i’s clear that the number of incoming links per page has considerable relevance.

Here are the first six text links on web searches for “Niels Harri” yesterday on Google – along with the number of other web pages linking to each page (in brackets), also according to Google on the same day:

As you can see, each page has a significant number of incoming links, although there’s no direct correlation between page rank and incoming links. On that criterion alone, the two highest listings among the top six are at the lower end of the range – not at the top.

It’s interesting to take a look at what the incoming links represent. This can be done by entering the web address (URL) of any given page into a Google search and hitting enter. All the other pages that link to the given web page should come up via that search.

In the case of the last four of the six websites (all bona fide 9-11 sceptic sites), their incoming links tend to be from related pages on similar websites. To be fair, that’s also true in the case of the Ron Mossad’s page. One might say it’s the same in reverse (most of his page’s incoming links are from ‘pro-official version’ sites or forums where the page link has been cited in debate).

But the top ranking webpage on the randi.org forum – which magically got number one ranking – seems much less popular.

Approximately half of its incoming links actually come from one website, registered in South Korea, called any1004.net. The different pages on that site recorded as linking to the JREF Forum discussion on Dr Harrit contain no obvious content of any relevance – although they do all seem to have something to do with “adult spanking stories”.

This is indicative of dirty tricks. Even Ron Mossad might be irritated by this kind of crass spookery

Any1004.net should be noted for future reference to help honest investigators, when the time comes, track down the full extent of the criminal network which has been perpetrating an evil hoax on the world. Here’s the individual they may wish to interview in the first instance:

Google should also be asked how on earth it gives such prominence to these two highly hostile pages (that is, hostile to Dr Harrit) in this particular websearch.

Are the two top ranking pages in this case a result of undisclosed payment? Did they attain their ranking as a result of a favour (ie. some form of underhand corruption)? Or did the randy folk at randi.org and Ron Mossad really get top listings as the inexorable result of Google’s mysterious algorithm?

If that’s true – if Google really uses search algorithms yielding results as bizarre as this – it’s surely time to start using other search engines…

Copernicus visits Sydney; mainstream media not interested

With the dust of 9-11 long-settled – the drama of that day now nine years in the past – things become clearer.

Dr Niels Harrit: a latter-day Copernicus

We live in a world of two principal political paradigms, locked in competition.

One paradigm attempts to explain the most crucial event in recent history with an open mind.

It concludes that the 9-11 atrocities could not have been carried out, as alleged, by marginalised terrorists on the fringe of power.

Consideration of a single aspect of 9-11 alone – the collapse of the THREE world trade centre towers – leads any open minded observer, once appraised of the basic facts, to conclude the official narrative is bogus.

The almost inevitable conclusion to be drawn by such an intelligent open-minded observer, once persuaded that 9-11 was carried out by perpetrators other than ’19 Islamic extremists’, is that agents of the State of Israel played the crucial role in perpetrating the 9-11 atrocity.

As in many a classic whodunit novel, the main accuser turns out to be the villain all along. The first-accused were victims of a frame-up. In the language of our era, 9-11 was a ‘false-flag’ operation: a Zionist false-flag operation.

The other paradigm is that the 9-11 Commission was broadly correct, that the collapsed World Trade Centre buildings fell as a result of fuel fires triggered by plane crashes into the twin towers – and that the perpetrators of the attacks were indeed Islamic extremists, members of an organisation called ‘Al Qaida’ under the direction of a villainous Islamic extremist, Osama Bin Laden.

This second paradigm continues to enjoy overwhelming support within the mainstream media and mainstream political discourse. It had that advantage from the day of the attacks.

It underpins a raft of policies rolled out over the last none years that, according to the first paradigm, are based in an inherently false premise. These falsehood-based policies include several wars launched in the middle east (Afghanistan and Iraq being the two major and ongoing wars), massive expansion in western military, ‘security’ and ‘intelligence’ budgets and draconian anti-civil liberties laws in many parts of the world including ‘the west’.

There have been occasional ‘break outs’, when a media personality has gone public with doubts about the official version of 9-11. In the USA, popular chat-show presenter and former member of The View team Rosie MacDonnell is probably the most famous example. Other less talented and resilient members of the media will doubtless have noted her fate. Rosie is no longer on The View.

For the most part, the media has simply not reported the existence of doubt about the official version of 9-11. Such reportage that has been done has typically implied that doubters – often sneeringly called ’9-11 Truthers’ – constitute a pathological oddity, akin to a cult believing in green pixies.

This has been an effective means of manipulating and mid-directing mass opinion – to a point. In some regions such as the Middle East, it appears to have failed. Almost a majority of people in Egypt, according to a poll reported in 2008, believe 9-11 was a Zionist false-flag operation. Perhaps not accidentally, President Obama launched his new initiative towards the Islamic world speech in Cairo and made a point of affirming the official narrative of 9-11 in his speech.

The same opinion poll indicated a very significant number of people in the USA and Europe who doubted the official account of 9-11, but who did not assign primary responsibility to Israel.

This indicates that the line is barely holding. The old paradigm (which is blind to the key role of Israel in perpetuating 9-11) is losing firm believers. Directly after 9-11, I doubt that more than a handful of Americans would have believed 9-11 was a Zionist plot. Even legendary anti-Zionist journalists such as Michael Collins Piper believed – for some considerable time – that 9-11 was a genuine case of ‘blow-back’ in which radical anti-Zionist Muslims had finally struck back against the USA with devastating effect.

The unravelling of the official narrative of 9-11 is a fascinating story. It has been littered with set-backs, many caused by the interference of disinformation agents. In a similar pattern to the aftermath of the JFK assassination, false theories were seeded into the mix, damaging the credibility of the growing network of people determined to establish the truth about 9-11. Other forms of human frailty have played a role as well.

Even so, despite being ignored and/or sneered at by the mainstream media, disregarded by mainstream academia and the publishing industry, overlooked by most politicians and derided by well-funded disinformationalists, the truth is outing. It’s not yet fully distributed – but the network of 9-11 sceptics is surely growing. Within it, the proportion who pin the tail squarely on the donkey and assign primary responsibility to the Israeli regime for the 9-11 attacks is growing too.

A week ago, almost completely ignored by the mainstream media, a modern-day Copernicus visited Australia. His name is Neils Harrit. He’s a Danish scientist with an explosive message – a message grounded in verifiable, peer-reviewed science.

His message is that the WTC towers were blown up with hi-tech explosives, the chemical signature of which he’s analysed along with colleagues. This must have involved lengthy advance preparation. It is inconceivable (and not part of the official narrative) that ‘Islamic extremists’ performed this task.

Dr Harrit does not engage in detailed speculation on who may have been responsible for these controlled demolitions. He sets out the evidence that supports the obvious need for a renewed, honest and transparent inquiry into these world-changing atrocities. But I can be less circumspect. Whoever performed the heinous act of rigging the three WTC towers with high explosives must have done so with the agreement of the leaseholders; at the very least, the authorities should question them first about their involvement and foreknowledge.

Needless to say, the leaseholders of the three WTC towers felled on 9-11 were not Muslims.

The legendary Sherlock Holmes famously remarked: “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth!” Muslims did not do 9-11 and cover up the crime afterwards. The Vatican was not responsible. This was not the Russians, the Cubans, the French or the Mafia…

One hugely powerful force within American society – and one alone – had the motive, means and opportunity to carry out this crime, with more than a little help from ‘friends’, within the USA and elsewhere. That’s the leadership of the Zionist movement.

Rising awareness of this unpalatable fact is shaking the foundations of the old paradigm. General acceptance of the alternative paradigm, which alone explains the observable facts of 9-11, will change the world forever.

Modern mainstream western culture has become Judeophilic to a degree that it has parted company with reality. It’s built-in pro-Zionist bias is now so extreme that our culture is demonstrably at odds with observable reality.

The mainstream view of 9-11 can persist only through increasingly implausible refusal to revue the evidence with an open mind and consider inconvenient facts. That is no more sustainable than the pre-heliocentric paradigm, once an alternative with greater explanatory power became available.

Attempts to censor contrary views will only make life more untenable for the purveyors of falsehoods; it would fast bring the debate fully into the open. Open scrutiny is the worst nightmare for defenders of the old paradigm.

The days of the Great 21st Century Blood Libel against Islam are numbered.

2001: Hate Crime of the Century

Danish scientist Niels Harrit is careful not to assign blame. But he doesn’t buy the official conspiracy theory. He treats it with dignified scorn.

Introduction:

Some time ago, gulli.com featured the news about the work of a team of independent scientists from Denmark, USA and Australia. They claim to have found a substance called Nano Thermite in the dust of the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York City. Nano Thermite is an explosive, normally only used by the military, not available on the normal market. It is a relative to thermite, a substance used for welding.

On the Gulli board one of the biggest discussions [German language] ever broke loose between so called conspiracy theorists and people who trust the official version about 9/11. More than 28.000 views. More than 800 postings. We gave sceptical gulli users the chance to ask their questions directly to Dr. Niels Harrit, one of the scientists. The gulli users asked really tough questions and didn’t censor anything. We gave all those questions to Mr. Harrit and were really curious how he would respond. He answered. gulli.com: Your full name and title?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Dr. Niels Holger Harrit.

gulli.com: Your age?

Dr. Niels Harrit: 64

gulli.com: Please explain exactly in what subject you earned your doctorate and what you studied / you are an expert in.

Dr. Niels Harrit: My master degree, which I earned in 1971, was based on the work I did for one year at Max-Planck-Institut für Strahlenchemie, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. My doctor thesis from 1975 from University of Copenhagen was in mechanistic photochemistry. I spent a year at Columbia University, New York City as post doc. in 1977.

gulli.com: Your current profession?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Docent at University of Copenhagen.

gulli.com: Please tell us what exactly you are teaching.

Dr. Niels Harrit: I teach organic chemistry, photochemistry and photophysics to nanoscience students and chemistry students. I supervise master students and Ph.D. students.

gulli.com: Got some references?

Dr. Niels Harrit: I have published close to 60 papers in the best peer-reviewed journals.

gulli.com: Can you please tell us about what you published? Give some examples which might be related? Which journals? Also some examples?

Dr. Niels Harrit: I enclose my list of publications. My latest paper is currently “Hot paper of the month” in Angewandte Chemie, one of the world’s most leading journals of chemistry. I am a senior member of a “Centre of Excellence” Molecular Movies where I mostly work with physicists on time resolved X-ray scattering. This centre is a subdivision of the Nano-Science Center at the University of Copenhagen, of which I have been a faculty member since it started in 2001.

gulli.com: Your mindset concerning 9/11 – are you a believer or a questioner?

Dr. Niels Harrit: I am opposed to crime.

gulli.com: Your website?

Dr. Niels Harrit: None.

gulli.com: What exactly allows you to say that you are an expert on Nano Thermite?

Dr. Niels Harrit: There are no experts on nanothermite without connections to the military.

gulli.com: Do you and your team expect any benefit from releasing this work?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Restoring justice, democracy and free press. Avoid fascism. A better world for my grandchildren.

gulli.com: Who financed the work?

Dr. Niels Harrit: No one.

gulli.com: So you all worked in your spare time at no charge – for free – on this 2 years study? You used university infrastructure though?

Dr. Niels Harrit: You have an unreal conception of what it is to be a scientist. It is not a job. It is an existence. I do not have spare time. Of course I use my office at the university.

RELATE TO THE FACTS

gulli.com: Please forgive us our strange questions! But right on: Many of the team of scientists are from the Truther movement. Steven E. Jones, who is preaching the controlled demolition of WTC since years. There are 2 colleagues from Jones’s university in your team: Jeffrey Farrer and Daniel Farnsworth.

Kevin R. Ryan, Gregg Roberts and James R. Gourley are from the Truther movement as well. How can this team guarantee neutrality concerning the study?

Dr. Niels Harrit: In European football, you get penalties for attacking the man instead of playing the ball. Besides, I am proud to be on a team with grown-up scientists who have fought for 911 truth longer than I have. Please, read the paper, RELATE TO THE FACTS and nothing else.

gulli.com: Ok then. Where, when and how exactly did you get the dust? How did you make sure its pure and original dust from 911? Were any officials present when you took the samples?

Dr. Niels Harrit: All this is accurately accounted for in the paper.

gulli.com: Is it right that Steven Jones organised the samples? Steven Jones is known as an absolute believer in the 911 conspiracy and folks out there do not step back from accusing him of mixing the dust of with explosives to finally bring the “proof” for the controlled demolition.

Dr. Niels Harrit: This is an absolute insult to an honest scientist. Furthermore, it is a stupid question, in as much as we are anti-conspiracy theorists. We oppose the official conspiracy theory. That’s all.

gulli.com: How do you make 100% sure that the dust you analyzed was not altered, or anybody mixed it up with Nano Thermite before you analyzed it?

Dr. Niels Harrit: See next question.

gulli.com: OK. Did you compare the dust samples to samples you did not get from Steven E. Jones?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Yes. I have two samples in Copenhagen which were sent to me directly from the collectors, and they contained the chips as well. There is a handful of other scientists who can bring the same testimony.

Dr. Niels Harrit: I believe there are about 20 samples out there, but I don’t know exactly and I have no reason to care.

gulli.com: How come that you were chosen to examine the dust?

Dr. Niels Harrit: I am part of the team. I was invited to join.

gulli.com: If you gross it up, how much Nano Thermite was laying around in Lower Manhattan after the collapse?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Very, very difficult to put an absolute number on that. Let us say 10 tons.

IT WAS NOT PREPARED IN A CAVE IN AFGHANISTAN

gulli.com: Is it possible for terrorists to get hold of this material? It’s such a special material, so that only people from inside the US army could get hold of it. Where can Nano Thermite be bought? Can normal people buy it as well? Or only companies / military?

Dr. Niels Harrit: This stuff has only been prepared under military contracts in the USA and probably in bigger allied countries. This is secret military research. Do your own guess work and read Kevin Ryan’s article on this subject. It was not prepared in a cave in Afghanistan.

gulli.com: How does Nano Thermite differ from Thermite and Thermate? What is the special function? Who does normally use Nano Thermite and for which purposes is it used?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Thermate is thermite which contains sulphur.

gulli.com: What is Thermate used for normally?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Melting steel items. Armour, for example. Nanothermite is thermite prepared by nanotechnological methods.

SMALLER, CHEAPER AND NASTIER

gulli.com: So it is much smaller and therefore has a bigger surface which makes it react much quicker and more energetic?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Yes, the particles are much smaller. But it is prepared in a radically different way compared to ordinary thermite, where the small particles are made by making bigger particles smaller.

In nanomaterials, the particles are prepared from atoms and molecules.

Nanothermite is the explosives of the future. “Smaller, cheaper and nastier” (as they say, those who want funding for their research).

gulli.com: Does Nano Thermite have more power than regular explosives such as C4 or TNT? What are the biggest benefits that Nano Thermite has?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Power, safety, versatility. It is cheap too. “Smaller, cheaper and nastier” than regular explosives.

gulli.com: You say that there is iron oxide and aluminium and conclude that this means it’s Nano Thermite. Isn’t it normal in such a building that there is iron oxide and aluminium? Or could it happen that the substance Nano Thermite was produced as a result of the collapse?

Dr. Niels Harrit: No way. You don’t expect a box of matches to be formed in a fire.

gulli.com: Did you have other samples of Nano Thermite (not from the dust) to compare while you studied the dust? Just to make sure it is real Nano Thermite?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Yes. We have prepared it ourselves, since there have been some scientific publications and conference reports. It performs as expected. But it is not exactly the same variety as the stuff we have found in the WTC dust.

gulli.com: Can Nano Thermite be prepared by a university without any OK from government officials? It is a very dangerous substance, so that it might fall under assault weapons law?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Nanothermite is quite safe to handle. All the known programs (in US) are funded by military funds and secret. See this, which only covers what was know at the time of writing.

A big part of the Pentagon budget is secret. This part is up to 60 billions e.g. this year.

gulli.com: Why did no bomb sniffing dog bark?

Dr. Niels Harrit: All the bomb sniffing dogs were sent home by the security company two weeks before. Furthermore, they are trained on conventional explosives which smell rather characteristically.

gulli.com: Did anybody who is not involved in the Truther movement double-check your studies? Like independent blasters or producers of Nano Thermite?

Dr. Niels Harrit: The paper was peer-reviewed as it is routinely done with scientific publications.

gulli.com: Who did this peer-reviews? Can you explain at least which kind of people it has been? Officials from your university?

Dr. Niels Harrit: The referees are anonymous. They are not officials from my university. No one at my university knows more about this than I do. The University is not responsible for the research. Only the authors are.

gulli.com: Nano Thermite is both an explosive and a substance for welding?

Dr. Niels Harrit: No. Welding is performed with conventional thermite. Everyone can buy it. It is not an explosive. It only produces hot, molten iron.

gulli.com: Do you have any theory who placed the substance in the towers? Could it be the company “Controlled Demolition” whose president Mark Loizeaux openly denies the existence of Nano Thermite, although he is an expert on demolition? His company came up with a clean up plan for Ground Zero shortly after the collapse. People accuse him to have taken down the WTC.

Dr. Niels Harrit: No. I absolutely do not like to speculate beyond the data. We insist on a criminal investigation of the crime. No investigation has been carried out yet.

gulli.com: What exactly do you want to achieve with your work on Nano Thermite and 911?

Dr. Niels Harrit: The truth.

gulli.com: Why did almost no news portals, TV stations or even scientific journals except some conspiracy websites report about your results?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Ask them!

gulli.com: How do you deal with people calling you a “stupid conspiracy theorist”?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Shrug my shoulders. They are going to come down. I am an anti-conspiracy theorist. The only conspiracy theory worth dealing with is the official conspiracy theory – the one with Osama Bin Laden and the 19 hijackers. Now, ain’t it stupid to believe the official conspiracy theory without having been presented one single piece of evidence? Who are the fools?

gulli.com: Is it true that somebody in your team lost his job because of your common examination? And if yes, how could that happen?

Dr. Niels Harrit: No, not yet. But some of them lost their jobs before that!!

gulli.com: Why did they lose their job? Linked to the work on 911? Who kicked them out then and why?

Dr. Niels Harrit: They lost their job because they are critical of the Official Conspiracy Theory. Steven E. Jones was forced into early retirement from Brigham Young University. Kevin Ryan was fired from Underwriters Laboratories, who were responsible for certification of the steel to the towers.

gulli.com: How do you think did “they” manage it that nobody from the crew of demolition specialists told the public afterwards that it was a crime? Normally everything leaks out. Have they all been jailed in WTC Building 7?

Dr. Niels Harrit: No. You have to accept that far from everything leaks out, since you do not know what does not leak out. This is the greatest cover-up in history. No one was killed in WTC7.

gulli.com: Do you expect that the results of your research will result in any official inquiries of the police or FBI etc.? Did you send a copy of the results to the FBI? What happened?

Dr. Niels Harrit: Yes. A copy has actually been sent to FBI. I am not in a position to give a full account of the response, but as I recall, it was surprisingly receptive.

gulli.com: How are you connected with other specialists who want to reopen 911?

Dr. Niels Harrit: I don’t really have time to connect. I am totally busy keeping up with all the attention this last paper has received. I am overwhelmed by that, since we are not really bringing something new. I am just doing the best I can., the day only has so and so many hours and I still have to attend to my job.

gulli.com: Yes, if you google your name at the moment, you get more than 260.000 results. What would you suggest how to move on now? Next steps for the media / the public?

Dr. Niels Harrit: The media hasn’t reacted yet. It is the duty of the public to tell them that if they keep on lying for much longe, they will lose what little credibility they have left.

Silence gives consent! Ask questions!! Trust yourself. It is not so complicated. There were two airliners, but three skyscrapers. You don’t need a scientist to count to three.

Everyone should push every button and demand truth in the press. This is very serious. Every action, no matter how small, counts.

My major point: Everyone is lying, everyone is scared. So we have to trust ourselves, and it is not so hard.
