The shirt that says it all
Sep 7th, 2009 by Syd Walker

I don’t usually promote commercial products on this website, but I’ll make an exception for this T-Shirt, which is available in a choice of colours from Zazzle.

The saga of the BBC’s amazing journalistic precognition on 9-11 is discussed on A Tale of Three Broadcasters, written in December 2007 but still relevant today.

No Plane hit WTC7 but...

Yeah right!

Reality TV: Dr Steven Jones on 9-11 and Nanothemite
Sep 7th, 2009 by Syd Walker

On April 30th 2009, Dr Steven Jones gave a presentation in Sacramento, California. He discussed recent scientific findings regarding the collapse of three World Trade Center steel-framed tower blocks in New York City on 9-11.

When I watched this lecture on YouTube, I found it occasionally hard to navigate. So I’ve made a list of the 12 segments, in sequence, for viewing convenience.

This is the story the BBC, ABC – and all the rest of the lying western mass media – are doing their best to avoid.

Dr Steven Jones lectures on 9-11 and the use of nanothermite to collapse three towers of thre World Trade Center

Dr Steven Jones lectures on 9-11: he lost his academic job, but retained his integrity

Happily, we don’t have to rely on liars any longer.

Nearly eight years from September 11th 2001, ignorance is no longer an excuse. Those operatives in the mass media who actively continue the 9-11 cover-up must by now be regarded as complicit in this horrible crime.

They will have to live with their own consciences for failing to report accurately on the Crime of the Century.

In a society which took justice seriously they would face criminal charges for conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

In search of the Master Race
Sep 6th, 2009 by Syd Walker

If you’re under 75 years old and grew up in a ‘western’ country, chances are you remember from childhood that one of the things that made the Nazis especially wicked was their notion of ‘racial’ supremacy and Hitler’s lunatic ambition to spawn a ‘Master Race’.

Whether via my parents, school education, books, comics, movies or the mass media – from a fairly early age I absorbed the notion that under Adolf Hitler’s leadership, the Nazis – and they alone – sought to promote their ‘race’ to superdude status.

Adolf Hitler

Wicked Uncle Adolf: we learnt at school that he wanted a Master Race, of people like him (with blonde hair)

I can’t recall the number of times I’ve heard reasoning along the following lines:

The Nazis believed the Aryans are a Master Race and wanted to lord it over the rest – didn’t they?

That’s why we had to fight them to the end – wasn’t it?

Sure, the 60 million or so deaths (and tens of millions of refugees) of World War Two were a lot of ‘collateral damage’ – but it was all worth it, wasn’t it?

After all, we can’t take chances with nutcases who want to take over the world – can we? Thank heavens for Winston Churchill! etc. etc.

It’s scary, persuasive stuff that may well have convinced all but the most recalcitrant pacifists to join the military struggle against Nazi Germany.

Mom and Pop Live in Fantasy Land
Aug 1st, 2009 by Syd Walker

This is a natural successor to the earlier post Mom and Dad mean business.

There are Portuguese subtitles on this YouTube version of a recent (American) ABC TV feature about the Rosenblats (watch below). You can also see Good Morning America’s interview with Mr Rosenblat here.

Herman and Roma Rosenblat

Herman and Roma Rosenblat: it was all true 'in their imagination'

Mr and Mrs Rosenblat are a couple of elderly, romantically-inclined Jewish American fantasists.

Their book Angel at the Fence is an Adam and Eve-style tale of love and apples in a Nazi concentration camp. It held America spellbound for years. But the spell lost some of its charm when it became widely apparent that their story is untrue…

The Rosenblats remain unrepentant. Herman Rosenblat says he’d do it all over again – despite the excruciating embarrassment he’s caused his own son. He claims the book continues to do good and work wonders.

This is an account of the saga from the Huffington Post in December 2008: “Angel At The Fence,” Holocaust Memoir, Publication Canceled

The publisher of a disputed Holocaust memoir has canceled the book, adding the name Herman Rosenblat to an increasingly long list of literary fakers and ending with a heartbreaking crash his story _ embraced by Oprah Winfrey among others _ of meeting his future wife at a concentration camp.

“I wanted to bring happiness to people,” Rosenblat said in a statement issued Saturday through his agent, Andrea Hurst. “I brought hope to a lot of people. My motivation was to make good in this world.”

Lies, damn lies and ballistics
Jul 21st, 2009 by Syd Walker

If you follow politics, you’ve probably heard plenty of politicians complaining about the lies of their opponents.

It’s a staple diet of democratic political discourse. Does a day go by when Parliament (or Congress) is in session in which copious accusations of lying aren’t hurled across the chamber? If so, I must have missed them.

Arlen Specter

Arlen Specter: these days, he a Senatorial liar; Adolf would not have been surprised

But how many politicians do you know who admit to telling lies? Telling lies themselves, that is – and not just lies but really big lies. Politicians like that are certainly unusual.

I’ll thicken the plot. How many politicians do you know who brag about telling really big lies in a best selling book published before their political career gets underway? Such a politician would be rare indeed.

Yet that’s what a lot of people seem to believe about Adolf Hitler. If they don’t actually believe this, they certainly like to make out they do.

Take this quotation, which has become famous thanks to its frequent repetition on the Internet:

Fearful Thinking
Jul 16th, 2009 by Syd Walker

We’ve all heard of  ‘wishful thinking‘ – the very human tendency to believe what we’d like to be true. Wishful think has been around a long time.

More recently, eminent theologian and 9-11 sceptic David Ray Griffin has coined the term  ‘fearful thinking‘.

He believes it’s key to understanding what prevents otherwise rational people from recognizing the obvious about 9-11.

As Griffin describes it, fearful thinking is when “you won’t believe what you actually fear to be the truth”. Ironically, the more common expression for this phenomenon is to be in a state of ‘denial’.

Professor Griffin, a scholar whose academic career has delved deeply into the intriguing field of ‘Process Theology’, has performed an enormous service to the world by devoting himself almost full-time, since 2003, to the ‘9-11 Truth Movement’. It can’t be fun for a man with his sights on the higher planes of human existence to spend years analyzing the cesspits of murder and deceit.

David Ray Griffin

David Ray Griffin: A clear voice of reason on 9-11

Since 2003, his output of books about 9-11 has been prolific (and he’s even managed two remarkable new books about philosophy in his spare time!).

Griffin is a calm, reasoned voice in a debate that easily gets over-heated. He’s hard to discredit and sideline. Because Griffin is so hard to knock over, the main reaction of the mainstream media has been to ignore him.

The Great War and Greater Insanity
Jul 13th, 2009 by Syd Walker

This post features one of my favourite quotations from World War One – and one of the best-known war poems of modern times.

The quotation is from John Viscount Morley’s Memorandum of Resignation from the cabinet of John Asquith in August 1914, at the outbreak of war.

John Viscount Morley

John Morley - a real hero of the Great War

Morely resigned when it became clear a majority of the British cabinet supported the push, led by Foreign Minister Edward Grey, to declare war on Germany.

John Morley was one of the very few members of the cabinet who remained steadfast in opposing Britain’s entry into the war. This short extract from his  memorandum is eerily prescient:

“…What grounds for expecting that the ruinous waste and havoc of war would be repaid by peace on better terms than were already within reach of reason and persistent patience. When we counted our gains, what would they amount to, when reckoned against the ferocious hatred that would burn with inextinguishable fire, for a whole generation at least, between two great communities better fitted to understand one another than any other pair in Europe? This moral devastation is a worse incident of war even than human carnage, and all the other curses with which war lashes its victims and its dupes.”

They rolled over and played dead
Jul 4th, 2009 by Syd Walker

Helen Thomas, the extraordinary 89 year old American reporter, whose coverage of US Presidential politics spans five decades, was interviewed a couple of years ago about the quality of the White House press corps in the Bush era.

Her account is damning. Although Helen Thomas didn’t spell it out, the conclusion is inescapable that there was a large measure of collusion in the way the press corp pursed a common agenda.

helen_thomas

Helen Thomas

Who decided, from the time Bush arrived in the White House, to hype up the ‘threat’ posed by Iraq? That kind of convergent bias doesn’t happen by accident.

The Bush Administration itself played ball, but virtually no-one in the press corps asked Bush and Cheney hard questions about 9-11, the ‘Patriot Act’, the Anthrax attack, the War on Terror, Afghanistan, Iraq… and Israel.

From 2001 until Bush was elected for a second term, the Bush Administration and US mass media engaged in an orgy of mutual admiration, all directed towards a massive expansion of America’s military and ’security’ budget, the launch of new illegal wars to serve Israel’s agenda that helped bankrupt America, the establishment of police state machinery with the USA and the drastic curtailment of Americans’ civil liberties.

This is what Helen had to say:

Hat-tip to HomePageDaily where I spotted this video, It’s a fine online news service by the Australia’s one and only Richard Neville that goes beyond the enervating mainstream consensus.

The Israeli Assault on the USS Liberty
Jul 4th, 2009 by Syd Walker

Israel has a bad habit of picking fights with vessels named after the finest aspirations of human civilization. Three examples:

  • the USS Liberty, viciously and deliberately attacked by Israel in June 1967
  • the Dignity, a relief vessel to Gaza, rammed by Israel in December 2008
  • the Spirit of Humanity, the latest Free Gaza Movement relief ship, hijacked by Israel in late June 2009
The USS Liberty after Israel's attack

The USS Liberty after Israel's attack

The attack on the USS Liberty was arguably one of the most significant – yet least reported – events of recent history. The most lethal attack on a US naval vessel in the post-World Two Two era, it took place during the 1967 ‘Six Day War’ between Israel and its neighbours.

The attack on the Liberty is the subject of an excellent 2002 BBC 4 documentary Dead in the Water by British  journalist Peter Hounam. Available via Google Video, where you can currently download a copy, it might be a good idea to do just that if you’d like to watch it again! The Thought Police have already chased Max Blumenthal’s powerful ‘Feeling the Hate in Jerusalem‘ video off (Google-owned) YouTube.

Peter Hounam is also the author of Operation Cyanide: How the Bombing of the USS Liberty Nearly Caused World War III, published in 2003.

Dead in the Water is the British Broadcasting Corporation at its best. Viewers of the BBC’s war-glorifying and Zionist-dominated International TV service never see quality programs such as this.

Australian Greens: More Sounds of Silence
Jul 2nd, 2009 by Syd Walker

Of the handful of political parties with representatives in the Australian national Parliament, I much prefer the policies of the Australian Greens.

I usually find complimentary things to say about the Greens’ Senators work in the Federal Senate. Senator Ludlum, for instance, has played a smart and constructive role in the Internet censorship debate. Christine Milne is superb on the Climate Change issue. Those are just two examples. Overall, the Greens’ team is grossly overstretched, with only five Senators to cover all issues; it’s also hardworking.

Bob Brown

Australian Greens' Leader Bob Brown: vocal about Tibet, silent on Gaza

Yet overstretched or not, the Greens are timid to the point of embarrassed silence on other subjects that cry out for investigation and follow-up.

The leadership of the Australian Greens have been either too ignorant, too stupid, too cowardly or too ‘bought-off’ to raise hard questions about 9-11 in the Australian Senate, questions begging to be asked. I hope it’s just the former, but ignorance, as the saying goes, is really no excuse.

Among people from many lands, Australians died on that tragic day in New York City in quite horrible circumstances. Who in our Parliament pursues justice for them? The answer, as far as I can see, is no-one.
