911 Truth : The Elephant In The Room

For ten years now, mainstream western culture has had a new icon: 9-11.

Each year brings a torrent of new propaganda to memorialize the official myth. This year – the tenth anniversary - will possibly be the worst yet.

I’m one of the millions around the world who believes the official narrative about 9-11 is a pack of disgusting lies. Unsure how to ‘celebrate’ a decade of man-made atrocities following the man-made disaster of 9-11 itself, today I came across a documentary about 9-11 I’d never seen before.

Elephant ignored

What elephant?

The movie below by young British filmmaker Dean Puckett is not new. It won a London Independent Film Festival award for best UK documentary of the year in April 2008 (see this brief video from that time, including a short interview with the film-maker). Even so, if you also haven’t viewed it before, I strongly recommend it!

The interview with the British database administrator Scott Forbes, who worked in the WTC South Building at the time of 9/11, was a particular highlight for me. I’d never before seen a first-hand account which so clearly indicates activities were underway in the WTC in days preceding the buildings’ collapse that were consistent with the theory of planned controlled demolition. (The segment with Mr Forbes begins just over 12 minutes into the movie).

Mr Puckett explains it’s not intended as a film about his own views; it’s about views within the grassrooots “9-11 Truth movement” (which has become a global phenomenon). It’s also a film about the first responders in New York City, their appalling and worsening ill-health – and the shockingly poor treatment they’ve received from the US Government.

For Dean Puckett, the “Elephant In The Room” is the failure of mainstream media to report on the existence of these (overlapping) groups of people. People working in mainstream media know very well these people (we) exist. But both have gone largely unreported. The plight of 9-11 first responders has been downplayed to a quite disgraceful extent. The 9-11 truth movement has either been ignored, misrepresented or ridiculed.

This is the story of people whose existence, it seems, is too inconvenient for western mass media to mention.

The Elephant in the Room is a documentary following British filmmaker Dean Puckett through his journey into the 9/11 Truth Movement: a global movement of ‘conspiracy theorists’ who believe that the official explanation about what happened on 9/11 is totally or partially inaccurate.

The filmmakers travel from middle England, across Europe and to New York for the six year anniversary of the attacks, where the film takes one final twist as we are introduced to the 9/11 first responders who are suffering from various grave health difficulties due to the toxic dust that they breathed in trying to help their country during the weeks after this tragic event.

Told with a personal hands on approach that avoids advancing any one position, the film asks the question: are these crazy conspiracy theorists? Or is 9/11 Truth a credible political movement?

The film premiered at the BFI on the Southbank in London – winning Best UK Documentary at the London Independent Film Festival 2008.

    The onslaught has begun in earnest – a main story on the 6pm news today, the new threat of a “revenge” attack on New York. Will it be a truck bomb, or, or, will it be a dirty bomb? Who knows? But security is at high alert to stop the terrorists from striking again this weekend!

    It’s distressing to watch the hot young thing reading the news (who on most other occasions doesn’t set off your bullshit detectors in such a neck-snapping fashion) so calmly and precisely saying the lies that the sociopathocracy requires to be spread.

    The woman interviewed on the English high street almost five minutes into the video summed up the inability of most people to come to terms with and accept that 9-11 truth is likely radically different from the official narrative simply and powerfully: “people don’t want to believe it because it makes everything around them fake … it makes them uncomfortable” Ain’t it the truth!

    i will watch some of this video as soon as time permits. and i certainly don’t exclude a priori the thesis of rigged charges. after all, who had the security contracts for both towers? lol!

    i do, however, see this as largely a red herring, convenient in that it is potentially a truth that leads away from the real mystery – what possibly could have turned structural steel, countless thousands of tonnes of it, into particulates so fine they floated up into the upper atmosphere? girders thicker than the armour of a sherman tank.

    the thermite/thermate hypothesis doesn’t stand – it burns incredibly brightly and towers 1 and 2 would have been like giant sparklers. not the case. plus the heat would have incinerated all the paper. instead there was paper floating around everywhere, unsinged.

    the thermonuclear device has the problem of explaining the absence of heat and confined damage, though it does address the enormous energy required to effect the twins vaporization. seeing how keen giuliani and pataki were to push the “intense pools of heat” line should make anyone suspicious.

    the only thing i know for sure is that aluminium cannot damage steel like the images we saw on tv ad infinitum. doesn’t matter how fast the aluminium object is moving. piercing steel like that of a sherman tank requires something like tungsten or d.u.
    fly over the wing in any commercial plane and watch how the thing flaps in turbulence. then refocus on the fox news version of reality. it’s a sobering thought.

      All the paper made it onto the streets because the wind from the collapsing floors blew it out of the broken windows of the building as the building collapsed. Simple.

      If you hit water at sufficient speed, it provides as much resistance as concrete. The aluminium wings of the planes were full of fuel – slightly less dense than water, I believe, but dense enough to make it possible for “aluminium to damage steel”.

      And it’s pointless trying to come up with theories that explain things that never actually happened. Why the need to explain the evaporation of huge quantities of steel? The simplest explanation is that almost all the steel landed in a mangled mess on the ground. Once the tower’s collapse was set in motion – by cutting structural members at the initial collapse point – the following collapse was probably completely unaided by any force other than gravity. The weight of the falling portion of the building wa used to destroy the intact portion of the building.

        “damage steel like the images we saw on tv ad infinitum” was what i actually said, which is different from what is being imputed to me.

        the images on tv were those of a plane cutting through the girders smoothly, like a hot knife slices through butter. now, i do appreciate that a mass moving at speed will create damage in a general sense, but if you imagine a dum-dum or a mercury tipped bullet, when it hits a steel surface expands and causes great superficial damage at the expense of penetrative capacity.

        plus, the fuel tanks are actually only a small part of the entire fragile structure. look at the seagull damage and then image a steel girder over an inch thick moving at speed hitting the aluminium fuselage.

        if the no-planes thesis is so risible, why don’t the authorities release one part with its logged history (of the three million per aircraft). just one piece of evidence.

    for my 2 cents, i think the 9/11 truth movement is just a pressure-valve, there’s no way it’s going to be a political movement. too many people of disparate views on everything bar the 9/11 incident. for me, it’s just one more indictment of the state, commandeered as it always is by the real power-players.
