He and Kerry Nettle made strong, well-reported protests. If Brown shook hand with Bush after, it may well have been an attempt to communicate with him - a rare opportunity. The Australian Greens are often quite outspoken on US Imperialism. It's Zionism that seems to have them hexed. They won't say boo to a goose if it might offend the Israel Lobby. One wonders exactly what Israel would have to do before it might elicit a press release out of Bob Brown's office? Would he complain if it started bombing Gaza again?
