This photographs was supposed to be of the war that was going to end all wars.

One of the protagonists shown on the beach has pulled the world into continuous wars ever since 1945. This protagonist shows no sign of changing its war-mongering any time soon.

While war makes it money, this country will never stop its imperial military aggression!

To be strictly accurate, David, I understand it was the world war before that one that was marketed as the ‘War to End Wars’ (by President Wilson – the Europeans were less starry-eyed). But yes, after WW2 the US has never kicked the war habit, not even for a year.

The bloated self-styled American ‘intelligence agencies’, who increasingly seem to manfacture their own reason for being, are also the offspring of World War Two. Before WW2, no CIA.

War and militarism makes money for some very influential Americans, that’s for sure. But current levels of military / ‘defense’ / ‘security’ expenditure risk bankcrupting America. It’s a disastrous drain on resources, from both a national and global perspective.
