The Honesty of Avigdor Lieberman
Apr 23rd, 2009 by Syd Walker

Avigdor Lieberman

Avigdor Lieberman: not a slimy liar

There’s a refreshing frankness about Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

He’s not a smooth liar like most leading Israeli politicians. Avigdor is blunt and doesn’t mince his words. It’s a pleasant change.

Here’s a report from today’s Haaretz :

The Obama Administration will put forth new peace initiatives only if Israel wants it to, said Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in his first comprehensive interview on foreign policy since taking office.

Believe me, America accepts all our decisions,” Lieberman told the Russian daily Moskovskiy Komosolets.

Not much left to the imagination there…

If only I’d known Israel was going public about its control over America, I’d have agonized less over the authenticity of a similar remark by Ariel Sharon. After all, Avigdor is the man on the job today. He should know.

Memo to Mr Lieberman:

We do believe you, Avigdor. Thanks for clearing up any misunderstanding about this rather significant geopolitical issue. We do believe Israel has had the US Administration by the balls throughout most of this century.

Avigdor Lieberman

"Believe me, America accepts all our decisions"

However, we also remember a time when the Zionist Lobby did not exercise smothering control over American foreign policy. It wasn’t so very long ago.

One way the amazing subversion of the US body politic was made possible was by cunning de-legitimization of all commentary about what was happening. Discussing Jewish political and economic power – or even just pointing out the huge influence of the Israel Lobby – was deemed ‘out of bounds’ in polite society.

You’ve helped bring the existence of this vice-like grip to the fore, Avigdor, and for that we owe you thanks. Americans can now openly discuss whether they think it appropriate that a small overseas State controls their nation’s foreign policy. We’ll experiment with this new freedom here in Australia, too.

Now that Americans have your own word for it that Zionist dominance is no myth, let’s see how long they tolerate this state of affairs.

Keep on telling the truth, Avigdor. It’s the first step towards reconciliation.

Durban Review: More Shame for Pink People
Apr 23rd, 2009 by Syd Walker

A Zionist Clown in Geneva

A Zionist Clown in Geneva

Following the Great Staged Disruption at the Durban Review Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance  in Geneva, I now have a better idea what semi-educated Zionist trolls – the type who infest political bulletin boards around the world – actually look like.

They appear to be Sacha Cohen wannabees – but less talented and even more boorish. They also sport silly wigs.

Although loathsome, these juvenile brats are possibly less vile than the grey-suited conformists posing as western diplomats.

British Delegate Walks in Geneva

British diplomat follows the script at Durban 2 (see interview below)

Zombie-like, the pink-faced grey-suits play-acted a childish pre-meditated public insult, directed at the Iranian President. They did this at a conference which, if it’s about anything at all, is surely intended to advance humanity beyond Euro-centric bullying.

Did they ever try listening to other perspectives?

With notable exceptions, such as Russia and Norway, pink-faced peoples disgraced themselves again at the Durban Review Conference.

We allowed our so-called diplomats to fall below the most basic standards of common courtesy and respect for differing opinions and cultures.

Yet again, we showed our own ethical standards are warped by cringing subservience to a shitty little Apartheid State and its international cheer squad.

Shame on us.

POSTSCRIPT:  See the two comments by Jinjerrie below for (a) an interview after the walkout with UK Ambassador Peter Gooderham and (b) details of President Ahmadinejad’s speech.

The interview with the aptly-named Gooderham (better pork?) by the BBC’s Jeremy Paxman is noteworthy. Paxman asks clear, tough questions. The dismal answers offered in response make the British ‘diplomat’ look puerile in the extreme.

Paxman is one pink person who does not come out of this episode looking like a complete dolt.

A few western commentators have also had enough of the Durban hex: see Adrian Hamilton’s Walking out on Ahmadinejad was just plain childish in The Independent. It’s followed by a spirited comments debate. Hamilton has supporters, but the Zionist clowns are clearly back at work, chattering away through their keyboards, glorifying the indefensible.
