A Green Leader with Guts
December 31st, 2008 by Syd Walker

Meet Cynthia McKinney, US Greens Presidential Candidate 2008

Unlike her Australian counterparts, Ms McKinney is:

  1. well informed about Israel and the middle east
  2. not afraid to speak truth to power
  3. not on holiday while Palestine burns

This woman is amazing. Listen to her take on Donald Rumsfield. I really noticed the power and strength of this woman when she gave a speech at a 9/11 first responders benefit. Only if the world at large knew she was running for US president in 2008.

If the mainstream media continues to ignore her and other true patriots, then they are guaranteeing their own extinction and the extinction of the existing order in society. While the world was in a dream last year on the 12th of July 2008, Cythia McKinney and others were ushering in the stirrings of the second American revolution.

Thanks Alan. The links you’ve given are superb. For me, her speech to the 9-11 First Responders was especially moving.

Back in March 2008 soon after starting this blog, I wrote a short piece about Cynthia McKinney HERE. I find Cynthia McKinney the most inspirational high-profile politician in the USA today. Guts, brains, beauty, passion, decency and commitment combined.

In Congress, she was a person of colour in a crowd of grey-suited yesmen.
